An existing website or application often needs a clear diagnosis before it needs more features. I can help investigate faults, plan maintenance and improve the parts that slow people down.
Understand the current system
We will look at the reported problem, the environment and the steps that reproduce it. Access, backups and a safe place to verify changes are part of agreeing the work.
Make improvements measurable
Performance work starts with a baseline. Changes to images, assets, application queries or hosting settings should be checked against the same conditions so the result is meaningful.
Agree the scope
Share the symptoms, recent changes and business impact. We can prioritise repairs and improvements and agree a handover. Support availability and response times are agreed for each engagement.
Help with a specific fault or a wider backlog
Support can begin with a broken form, an unreliable workflow, a slow page or an update that has changed how a feature behaves. It can also cover a list of smaller improvements that never quite reaches the top of the queue. We will distinguish the immediate issue from follow-up work so the priorities and expected scope are understandable.
Investigate before changing things
Useful evidence includes the affected page or screen, the steps taken, when the problem started and whether it happens every time. I can review the relevant code, logs and configuration to narrow down the cause. Where access or a third-party dependency limits the investigation, we will make that clear before committing to a particular repair.
Leave a clear record of the work
For agreed changes, we will identify how to check the result and how to recover if a deployment causes a problem. A handover can explain what changed, what was verified and what still needs attention. Maintenance priorities can then be ordered around business impact, dependencies and available budget. Any ongoing arrangement, monitoring or response commitment is scoped separately rather than assumed.
